Indonesian hero's day

Hey! Did you know? It was recently Hero's day in Indonesia (November 10th). So I'm going to tell you a bit about one of my favorite Indonesian heroes, ok? Here we go!

This is Raden Ajeng Kartini, but we call her ibu Kartini (Lady Kartini). She was born on April 21st 1879 and died on September 17th 1904. In her times women in Indonesia weren't allowed to get education or even go outside the house. She didn't talk that was fair and fought for the rights of women. Kartini made a school for girls in Rembang.

On Kartini's birthday we celebrate 'Hari Kartini' to remind us of how kartini fought for the rights of women.
